British passengers feared for their lives when an "extremely drunk" passenger tried to open the door of a plane during a Jet2 flight from Turkey to the UK, forcing an emergency landing, BGNES reported, citing the Daily Mail.

Flight LS124, bound for Glasgow and full of tourists returning from Bodrum, made an emergency landing in Bulgaria on Sunday evening, the newspaper said.
Passengers sitting near the man are said to have "handled" it themselves, after which the crew were alerted and the plane was grounded. Sofia police then boarded the plane and arrested him.

Shocking video shows the man stumbling and appearing to resist officers as he was dragged down the aisle of the plane, with enraged passengers shouting "scumbag" and "idiot" at him.

The incident happened at around 10pm BST on the overnight flight, and a passenger told MailOnline they eventually landed in Glasgow in the early hours of Monday morning.
